Dialectical Living offers Dialectical Behaviour Therapy DBT therapy/skills groups to persons who struggle with mental health issues particularly around regulating emotions. Social Worker;

We are looking for a part time social worker, who has an MSW and who belongs to the OCSWSSW, to facilitate Dialectical Behaviour Therapy DBT groups. Candidate must have great interpersonal skills, a firm knowledge of DBT (some training will be provided); You will work alongside the executive director and other facilitators. The candidate in addition to a MSW will have 2 years experience facilitating groups and working with clients with mental health challenges particularly around emotion dysregulation (many with Borderline Personality Disorder). You are comfortable working with this population of clients and are experienced in validation techniques and a strength based approach. Preference will be given to those who have some lived experience, a great positive healthy attitude and a sensitivity for those with mental health challenges. Candidate must be a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service workers (OCSWSSW) Only candidates belonging to this college and have DBT knowledge should apply. PLease do not apply if this is not the case.

Qualifications and Skills
Degree in social work (MSW) excellent boundaries, good judgement for self disclosure. facilitation skills, DBT is REQUIRED.
Experience working with clients and groups for at least 2 years.

Program Coordinator:

We are looking for a part time program coordinator who will be responsible for keeping information up to date in our registration system (eventbrite), our website (wordpress) and our clinical system (Owl Practice). We would also like someone who has experience, abilities, willingness to manage our online learning platform (Learnworlds) . Knowledge of Mailchimp an asset. We are also looking for someone who can do Social Media updates for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and requires knowledge of these applications and have creativity, passion and a flare for creating awareness for us. Candidate must have great interpersonal skills, a knowledge of DBT (some training will be provided); You will work alongside the Executive Director. You are a person who is fully versed on the importance of confidentiality and PHIPA. You have experience in healthcare. The majority of this work will be done from home therefore it is essential that we have a self starter who can work independently. The candidate will have 2 years experience in an assistant capacity. Experience with the systems above a definite asset. Preference will be given to those who have taken a DBT program as a client/therapist, knows or can prove to be a very quick learner for our systems, a great positive healthy attitude and a sensitivity for those with mental health challenges.
Responsibilities and Duties
Entering information in our clinical system (Owl Practice) and creating receipts for clients, keeping up to date our website (wordpress), returning calls/emails (sales abilities an asset here), managing eventbrite registration system, entering in campaigns and our newsletter into Mailchimp, design posts for facebook, instagram and twitter and other social media. Managing our groups on meetup.com and other administrative duties. Experience with zoom and webinars an asset.
Qualifications and Skills
A university degree/diploma/student in the healthcare field an asset, experience as an admin assistant/program coordinator for 2 years plus, Office experience, Clinical system experience. previous job experience working with mental health clients another asset. Knowledge of DBT skills required (some training will be provided here). If you do not have any of these please do not apply for this position.
