Opportunities

We are currently looking for the following positions:

Social Worker; belonging to the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and insured for private practice.  We are looking for an MSW/BSW in school for MSW to teach DBT groups. DBT and facilitation experience required.  This person must also have good boundaries and be free of any BPD type behaviours for at least 1 year.

Program Coordinator:  A person to be front facing for the organization answering phone, returning emails, managing registrations, surveys, doing evaluations for evidenced based practice. This person must have taken a DBT course in the community and knows the skills intimately and must have lived experience preferably borderline personality disorder.  Along with lived experience this person must have good boundaries,  be in .recovery (no active behaviours of any kind for at least 1 year including eating disorder, self harm, substance abuse or other addictive behaviours and must have a therapist they see weekly.  There also needs to be a willingness to use personal history to share with potential clients and must also have really great judgement and discretion around self disclosure.   Self disclosure must only be shared when it is about hope and resilience for example. This candidate  must also have very clear and concise language when communicating with clients both in person, by phone and email.  Additionally they need to have the ability to  make every person they speak to special and validated.
