We generally do not offer any refunds for our programs. We like to keep people in their good decisions and we believe you made a good decision when you signed up. Sometimes we get cold feet before a program starts and we ask that you breath through it and know that others who you will be meeting are in the same boat. We get nervous about the unknown, who we will be learning new things with, what the facilitators will be like. Our program is very professional, structured and is a psycho-ed group not a sit in a circle process group. This means it is like a 12/24 week interactive and engaging workshop. We use many ways to teach your the skills including and not limited to: engaging slides to keep us on track, video, games, small group breakouts, worksheets, quizzes home practice teams and more. Our facilitators are highly trained as MSW Social Workers as well as extensive training in DBT with CAMH, University of Toronto, Linehan Institute and Family Connections through NEABPD.

We don’t encourage people to speak about past traumas or call you out. We do have each week a “Home Practice Team” which is a break out group where you discuss your week and how you did with skills learned in previous weeks. Participants really enjoy this time to connect with their peers and see how others are coping. Participation is entirely up to your comfort level.

Often if timing is an issue or you miss too many of the group sessions for good reasons we will offer a continuation of your program in the next run of the program for a transfer fee of $120.00. On the rare exception where we offer refunds there is a non refundable portion of your program fee dependent on program. Our DBT100 program as an example has a non refundable fee of $300.00.

You have made a good decision.. You have set yourself up for success. DBT is a highly sought after type of therapy and people go on long wait lists at many organizations who can’t keep up with the volume. We know that DBT is good for depression, anxiety, addiction and much more. You will be learning many skills including how to manage an emotion crisis, what to do every day to keep yourself at a lower baseline, how to build and maintain healthy relationships and how to be more mindful. Check out our reviews here and do the research and see for yourself. DBT Therapy just may very well be the one that takes you to a place of wellness you have not experienced before. Many clients by the second or third session are feeling better and are excited to keep coming to groups and miss them when they finish.

We hope this helps you feel more comfortable and we look forward to seeing you for your program!
