May is Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) Awareness Month, a time to educate, challenge stigma, and support those living with BPD. At Dialectical Living, we believe that understanding and compassion are key to empowering individuals with BPD and their loved ones.

What is BPD?

Borderline Personality Disorder is a mental health condition characterized by intense emotions, unstable relationships, and difficulties with self-image and impulse control. Common symptoms include:

  • Emotional dysregulation
  • Fear of abandonment
  • Impulsive behaviors
  • Unstable relationships
  • Self-harm or suicidal thoughts

While these challenges can be overwhelming, it’s important to remember that with the right treatment and support, people with BPD can lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.
